Principal Database Architect

Principal Database Architect – London (Hybrid) – up to £130k

Principal Database Architect required for a London based FinTech company. This candidate will oversee the design, implementation, and optimisation of their database solutions.

As a senior leader within the database team, you will be instrumental in shaping the strategy, architecture, and operations of their database systems, with a primary focus on Microsoft SQL Server RDS in AWS environments. This position is perfect for a seasoned database architect with hands-on expertise in cloud database platforms who is driven to use technology to propel business success.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in database design, implementation and support of Microsoft SQL Server.
• 2+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing RDS for SQL Server in AWS environments.
• Extensive experience with TSQL, including the ability to analyse and debug complex functions and stored procedures.
• Proven track record in leading database migrations to cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
